On Wednesday (May 21), Bruce Springsteen released a live EP titled, Land of Hope & Dreams. The four-song collection was recorded on May 14 in Manchester, England, during the opening night of the European leg of The Boss’ Land of Hope & Dreams Tour with the E Street Band. The EP features recordings of four selections from the show as well as two song introductions by Springsteen, and it includes a live cover of Bob Dylan’s “Chimes of Freedom,” alongside Springsteen classics “Land of Hope and Dreams,” “Long Walk Home,” and “My City of Ruins.” “The mighty E Street Band is here tonight to call upon the righteous power of art, of music, of rock ‘n’ roll, in dangerous times,” Springsteen announced before leading the band through a performance of the title track to the EP as well as the entire tour. The EP is now available on all major streaming services, with no word yet about a possible future release on physical media formats. (Variety)
