“Our partnership with Memphis Made and Ajax is a natural fit,” Morgan Bohannon, Vice President and Market Manager from Cumulus Media Memphis, said. “98.1 THE MAX is truly Memphis made with local Memphis talent entertaining Memphians daily. The opportunity to raise money for a great cause and put our name on a quality beer is the perfect partnership. We are excited to offer this product and help those in need at the same time.”
As part of the promotion, 98.1 The Max is highlighting the beer as part of its “Let’s Toast a Maximum Rocker” feature at noon and 5 p.m.
“Ajax is proud to team up with our friends at Memphis Made Brewing and 98.1 The Max to give back to the Memphis food industry community,” Patrick Turner, vice president of sales with Ajax, said. “We are honored to help serve those who serve us during these difficult times.”
Edible Memphis has made almost 100 grants of $500 to laid-off or downsized workers to help bridge the need until more federal stimulus dollars are available, according to Bill Ganus, publisher of Edible Memphis. But there is still a need.
“Support fatigue is definitely setting in,” he said. “I completely get it. If you get a second wind, though, there are hundreds of requests from service industry workers that we haven’t yet been able to support.”
Harvest Creative designed the cans for Memphis Made.
“We’ve always been focused on helping out in the Memphis community and this was a good way for us to do that during these challenging times,” Andy Ashby, sales manager at Memphis Made, said.
The cans will be available at hundreds of retailers in Shelby County, such as Kroger, Trader Joe’s, Buster’s Liquors & Wines, Cash Saver, Superlo Foods, Cordelia’s Market, Fresh Market, Corks Wine & Spirits, and more.
